sweet gear.. good price and no wait time..
makes me wish the pads were the correct size.
I have no clue. I bought a pair of pads from him, but not the matching gloves. Then a year later he had another set in the same size and colors, and I bought the gloves.

just ordered my new set should be here in 14-15 weeks

* SP 4000 set

* 36" x 12" pads

* Stock gloves

* Personilzed with " Webster "

I decided to go with a colour scheme that i hav'nt seen, also i went for the darker colour as my white and blue V2's are real tatty looking

what do you guys think?

I think the color scheme is sweet... I'd personally lay off the weave a bit (too much weave is a bad thing IMHO) and I would stay away from the stock 4000 graphic on the pads and go with the 1000 or 2000 graphic personally. OR, if you have the time, I'd make a custom graphic for the pads that matched the blocker really well.... Take the blocker design and strech it out on to the pads. If I was to get a set of Smiths that is the route I would go.

yeah i was thinking of a custom graphic, i had my heart set on the 5000 graphic but pete said he would only do that after the 5000 has been produced for a couple of months.

I went for the stock 4000 graphic due to the fact as you dont see many pads with the " two differnt " pads affects, the local mens goalie here last year had 2 sets black and gold V2's but with differnt graphics, alot of people who came to watch liked the idea that they were differnt but the same colour scheme and i was one of them.

but for some reason i have a craving for weave

but thanks for saying u guys like the colour scheme as i was abit worried what people may think .
I paid my deposit on monday (4th) so they should be start to be produced around march time?

With so many puckmarks ( = experience ), I'd say you're in and I'm halfway (only 4 games)!

I have full weave on my 4000's and I absolutely love the look! From a distance, you really can't tell jenpro from weave jenpro anyways..

Those of you that have your pads...could someone take the time to give me the measurements of the knee wing? One thing I really liked on a pair of V2s I tried was the pro square knee wing mod. It looks like the Smiths have this as standard, just wanted to double check.

Also, anyone ever gotten a finger ridge in a Smith Glove?

The longest 18 weeks of my life is over...

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! Christmas came early this year because my Smith pads are finally in!

As described by every Smith owner in history, the pads look fantastic, with not a single stitch out of place. I'm tempted to just leave them on display in my living room, since I'm afraid to get them dirty!

Anyway, without further ado, here are the pics:

Adjustable thigh rise shot, for those who haven't seen it in action:

And finally, proof to my teammates that I can now seal the five-hole:

Can't wait to get them on the ice! With the X-mas break, I might have to wait a couple weeks, but I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Bash
