It's too straight.". I like cheater bars, it has saved me before!
I asked him to add a cheater bar when I got my glove last Fall, and he said no without any explanation - just said he doesn't do them. I don't agree that the edge is too straight. The edge is almost identical to a Vaughn Epic glove I had that did have a cheater bar.

I was wondering if you got those too?

Is that the only picture you have of them?

I was wondering; there was someone last night at Wintersport Ice Arena in PA who had a pair of bucky (vintage) Smiths (and i'm presuming the gloves were vintage Smiths too, with waffle holes on the blocker).

Just wondering if this person is on the board.

I'll answer generally:

Smith pads can be as flexible or as stiff as you want. When you order, you can ask for the degree of flexibility or stiffness desired. The 5000 comes with a removable stiffners system too.

I thought pete didn't do the adjustable stiffeners because of TPS' introduction of the same? Maybe he did but just didn't publicize it. Now, I do know that you can tell him what you are looking for and he'll build your pads with the flex (or lack thereof) that you want.

Maybe I'M wrong on the stiffners, I had talks with Pete when he was working on that feature, so I thought it was still on. But whatever, I'm sure about him being able to custom the flex to your liking though.

****edit***

Pete just e-mailed me to say I was wrong about the stiffners, he didn't used them after all. But I stay on my positions regarding him customizing the flex to the pads.

What do you guys think of these?

Inspiration came from Aubin's blue with white accent Vapors he wore in toronto earlier this year. I might go with a blue palm just because it would match better.

My size is:
Floor-to-Knee = 21"
Knee-to-Thigh = 10"
Skate Size = 11.5
Height = 6'

Anyone know what size that would be? (like a 37+3 or something?)

And just for you Vancouver fans just because I think these look sick:
