They damn well should be after 16 weeks, damn. I wonder if they're that swamped with custom orders or that they just take a really long time..

Ok, we now have opinions on the 12.8s saying it feels like 5500 and one guy who actually possesses the 12.8 gloves and says it does not feel like 5500. Which is it, I wonder....
I know it never makes any difference but looking at the pictures of the 12.8s online, I couldn't imagine it feeling like a 5500.
Masked Warrior, I know you at one point have had intermediate gloves so I lean towards your opinion, since I myself have small hands.
CSUCWildcat had a mod on his glove that featured a single tee -- I wonder if that changed up the closure. Now, in my [limited] experience, I've tried 5500s with single and double tees, and the double tees seemed to "pull" my fingers and thumb apart a bit more.
I'd like to hear more from Wildcat since I'm sure he's been using this stuff a bit more now. I'd also like to hear from Masked Warrior, if there are any other gloves you know of to which you could approximate the 12.8.
Just looking for some more in-depth opinions, not looking to stir the pot or anything.

I cant wait till I can break it in and have it close like my t5500, that is once I buy it....
The pads were extremely light, I didn't get to try them on but I got to look at them. No stitches out of place and they were flexible which is what I like in a pad.
Both gloves were light but the blocker was really light. I loved the blocker a lot. It all just felt like one peice instead of how some blockers feel like a board and a side wall. It was really cimfortabel on my hand, so natural feeling. It's so comfortable and light you feel like you are wearing nothing.

I was just at a store and wore the 12.8 It feels a lot like the 5500. I have 2 5500's now I kind of think I would know what it feels like. Although the 12.8 wasn't broken in.

I'm ordering a set of 4.8 X-Wing pads, blocker and catcher, as well as the 4.8 pants and c/a. Can't wait for them to get here.
Can anybody tell me the difference between the X-Factor pads and the X-Wing pads?

Sadly I've been looking for a while, couldn't find any other pads in my size and same colour. And seriously, I'm just looking for a good deal and something better than these pieces of crap:
Yeah. I swear I saw a picture of Ken Dryden wearing these guys.

The x-wing pads are much better. I don't have time right now to list all the differences (if you still want them just PM me) but they're the same pad, with some very nice improvements on the x-wings.
There are some really nice deals to be had, I would honestly stay away from the 4.8 C/A unless you're just playing rec league ice hockey (if you're playing roller that's fine too). Check the clearance section at goaliemonkey, they have some awesome deals in there, such as 9.8 pants for 65.00$. Check ebay too, used pro or mid level equipment will serve you better than new entry level gear. The 4.8 xw line is still a good start though.

Since the 12.8's are on my list of pads for my next set I was messing around and came up with these...
Also thinking about going with the 9.8 graphic, same as DiPietro, except black weave where he has navy weave.

those look like they would be the similar color scheme as a young goalie that played earlier this season for the flyers michael leighton, except he has reverse gold/black
yes the flyers even though these pics were when he was with the ducks

Yeah I thought his X-wing pads were pretty sweet myself. Personally I don't think I would want a mostly gold pad, but you're right, they are the same thing but reversed. I also still like the 9.8 graphic too so if I decide to go with Itech pads I will have a tough decision to make. On another note...I really enjoyed the X-wing videos on Itech's website. Thought that was pretty cool

Yeah that was a good idea, hopefully they'll do one on the 12.8 C/A.
