Pads
Ok so i know i will prolly get yelled at and told to just wear them myself but i am very interested with the Itech 9.8. I am currently wearing Vapors with vaughn gloves, but if i were to get the prodigy pros i wasnt sure if the glove would be to small compaired to my vaughn. I know that most people that will read this prolly have itechs so i really dont want a one sided answer. Lastly if i am to buy these pads is my best bet to go thorugh a rep. I know that there is a guy that is located near me and i was given his number so if somewhat could give me some real imput that would be great. Thanks!

Luckily, my company is doing well and i recieved a pretty nice bonus, so i cannot complain. Things are not so bad. Thats what bugs me. I raised alot of hell, and they did not do anything. I am thankful that i even have the option to take the loss, but i would feel bad for someone who could not afford to take a loss like i did. I am also happy to sell a fellow bb'er a great set of gear for an awesome price, seeing i only used the a few times.

thanks! ya i just tried them out for the first time tonight and the boot feels a bit funky too me. i'm coming from 590s and have a lot of slack in the toe tie and the boot strap pretty loose. doing that to the itechs with the toe ties set towards the inside of the pad, i could barely skate lol i'll just shorten the toe tie and everything should be fine. in terms of sizing they r definitely shorter than a koho/rbk 34+1 by about an inch. it all works out fine considering the adjustable knee cradle though. so far so good!

I concur with LukeD5.
The 9.8 catcher (prodigy pro), which I have been using since September, feels very much like the vaughn 5500.
I didn't like the 'feel' of the 9.8 blocker, so I took my Epic blocker, which 'feels' great (same colors as my 9.8 pads) and removed the logos (sorry vaughn, no disrespect intended).

I couldn't disagree more. As long as you're talking about the Updated 9.8, not the old 9.8.
The new 9.8 reminded me more of a Velo 1 trapper unfortunately.

There are actually 3 versions with the 9.8 moniker: 9.8 Prodigy (pre 2006); 9.8 Prodigy Pro; and the nhl spec prodigy pro.
I have the prodigy pro.

I have a question.
I've had the whole 9.8 Pro set since August, and just noticed my blocker is way smaller than most blockers, at least an inch in width and lenght. Do you think Itech manufactured Pro Sized blockers only for the Prodigy series? Or is the size of the blocker still bigger than Pro sizing? I ordered the set in stock sizing, not pro sizing.
Anyone else notice that the blocker is a little smaller?
