I'm sorry but if your parents say, "oh sure, you can order custom vaughns if you want," i very much dought you are going to be like, "no thanks mom!"
get over that the little 11 year old has better pads and is all around better than you
and i know of a lot of goalie coaches teaching that high glove positioning...just for whoever said that was bad tech.

I have this issue of Goalie's World where they have an article about Brodeur using the high glove "illusion" positioning. So yes, the kid's glove positioning is not bad.

LMAO, so now you know about menstrual symptoms?!?! Please, do tell. How do you deal with all your feminine stuff? (I'm sure you know all about it with your ovaries and such.) I'm dying to know!

Couple pages back but oh well, it's either swedish yellow or just plain bright yellow. I think it looks horrendous in person especialy now that it's covered in puck marks. It's hard to see and just looks dirty. Also the colors are a bit off in the team photo pictures. The color is closer to the ingame shot.
Woot go Tech beat down Wisco.

I thought the kid with the high glove technique was waving at his pops. *shrug*
Seriously though, how do you catch low pucks with your glove held that high?

Tried my new Velo 2's on ice today.
So after about a week of wearing my new navy, white, and silver V2's in the living room I finally brought them out onto the ice.
1st impressions are really positive. The +2 sizing really closes the five hole - and the better thigh board system kept them from going into my pants. Plus I found it much easier to move on the ice in the butteryfly position. Fealt great.
Ironically it was my skates and new blocker that gave me trouble. The blocker was a little tight and for some reason my left skate was really dull. RBK skates...so hard to get a sharp edge on those things. Although I probably dulled the blade a bit wearing them on the rug.
I'll get a sharpen and hit the ice again Friday.

My guess is that the kid is not in his stance. He's getting ready to catch a puck that's already up high (sorta like a pop fly in baseball). Look at his eyes and his head. Neither are forward, both are obviously pointed in the air. Whether he's going to catch the puck or waving at his dad in the stands is not clear.
That's just my guess though. I've always found it funny how people judge others by still photos.
