"Official" Vaughn thread.

I have velo 1 pads (33") and a vision jock.
I did have a velo blocker very breifly, but it was a bit small and thus my UL is more comfortable. I wouldn't mind getting velo gloves at some point.

I did one mod to them (aside from not using the elastic on the knee lock..I just fold it between the knee stacks) so far, which probably none of you would want, but I love. I prefer the feel of cordura gussets on ice over jenpro, so I got some cordura and covered the gussets:


One other mod I am planning on doing is making bigger square knee wings.

no matter how good these pads look, I just can't think of myself in Vaughn pads. C/A? Sure. Pants? Why not? But pads and gloves, I just can't do it. I'd much rather wear RBK's or Koho's, something with a barebone channel, or that you can make a barebone channel (Summits, Fusions, etc.). It's wierd (twilight zone music)

anyway have you ever even tried to wear a vaughn pad? if not, that is a pretty faulty judgement.

i use to wear v2:s the hole set, got rid of them, bought 11,8s much better(nothing bad about vaughn, vaughn makes great stuff)

what's the name of that color? is it iridescent something or rather? i know someone out here had that on his c/a (and his velos if i recall correctly).
