Just got these pics of my new gloves today. Ordered in the end of January. Can't wait till I get them.
Epic 8800 catch
Too bad that I won't get them to my hands before May, so I can't yet describe how the 8800 catcher feels.

I have an idea. Instead of ordering all of these 'mods' and making yourself the laughing stock of the place you order from....why don't you just order a pad that actually HAS the options you want. "I want a Vaughn pad with an open leg channel... that has a really stiff boot..blah blah blah".. umm, buy a RBK product... chances are, you are a terrible hockey player who fusses over yoru equipment in order to make youself "look" good.. in an attempt to take the attention of how terrible you are as a hockey player

I wanted mismatching catcher with opposite colors of my set. I have TPS pads coming that'll match black/orange blocker. The blocker with white is just for practises and I didn't want same colors on it as on the other blocker. It ain't supposed to match 100% with the set. So that's the reason.

I believe AVictor35, if that's who you're ranting about, clearly said he already has a pair and doesn't want another set. As for the rest of your post, it's small-minded and unnecessary. You don't know the guy, so keep it to yourself, big man.

For whatever it's worth, almost all pads had nash at the boot area about 10 years ago. Then the big thing was clarino in this area. It's not something new

Yes, thank you.
I have had a bad experience with Rbk (Waited 22 weeks for my pads when quoted 8)
This is why I'm trying a different company, and I want a smooth transition (hence adding mods)

I have a very old vaughn glove that I love, it says model '3500' on it, what would be the closest glove to this in the current vaughn product line-up?

If you can find a 5500, that would be ideal, as it is the pro-level version of your glove. If not, the new 8800 is supposed to be just like the 5500, although few have used it enough to be able to confirm/deny. If you do want to go with the 8800, but it's a little too expensive, the 8600 will be your best bet, it's the senior-level version. Hope this helps!

I wasn't talking about AVictor35 or anyone in particular. I was just saying the same thing that a ton of other people have said. In other words, i find it hilarious and amusing how people become obsessed with what pro players are wearing and try to copy them... it isnt' anything that hasn't said before, so i don't know why i bother said it. I should just keep my mouth shut like i usually do, and continue to get a laugh out of these boards.

Rhodes...voicing your 2cents is fine...it's the way you laid it down that came across as an ass.
True, some push the envelope, but that's their prerogative and there's not much we can do about it. Some guys could care less how the gear is made as long as it fits. Others are very picky. With time, you get to find out what you like and look for in a particular piece and i think in some instances, it shows experience...but some is left to be desired of course.

I'm far and away too lazy to take any pics, but I'll let you know whatever you want. They hug the leg well and are comfy and protective. I'm not much of a pants nerd- I've only worn 2 different models and this ones my favorite

Roll breaks...
What is the 411 on the difference between the 1 roll break as opposed to the 2 roll break?
I know about the flex and improved 5hole closure. What i want is first hand account from those who've used both and can give me a proper analysis please.
Thx
