Pads - Just removed the middle shin strap. I'm thinking about removing the top strap and switching the other shin straps to quick release but haven't done that yet. They are 35+2
Blocker - Altered the graphic slightly so that it would match the pads better. I also changed the palm to a new digital palm that is super comfy. I did install a new blocker board and plastic.
Catcher - This was taken apart and cleaned. Once dry I changed the graphic to match the pads and blocker better. The entire palm was replaced with a new piece of jenpro and the binding was also replaced. Then I relaced the glove with brand new lace. I wanted to put a baby blue skate lace T in, but I couldn't find any in the proper length. I had done this before on a SMITH catcher and it looked super cool.
Anyway here are the pics.

There are more pics of my pads around page 240 of this thread. I honestly don't know if the Navy looks like Black from far away as I am usually wearing the pads...
If you want to take a closer look at the pad, come down to Planet Ice Coquitlam tonight, rink 4 at 8pm. I'll be playing then. I'll also be there next Thurs, rink 3 @ 8:30

Will ordering just a blocker from vaughn (modless all black) still take 10-12 or will the turn-around be faster?
Oh and my backup ordered a set of v3s, modless just colors, from hockey1 (South Windsor) who is NOT a very good custom store, and he got his in a month (just before our pre-playoff scrimmage and playoffs... didn't get to use the gloves though )... is this not unusual?

Is it an NHL spec Epic or the original version? The older ones were larger and often shaped a little differently. This one is basically a 5500 which is what the NHL legal Epic's basically are. I did also change the palm thumb plastic. I have the old one which was still okay but it was flattened out and starting to crack at the bottom.

YES. The V3 leg channel is consists of two parts - the OLP (outside leg protector) and the ILP (inside leg protector). When you custom order the pad ask for a gutted leg channel (NO ILP). I should receive my custom Vaughn pad in about a week. I will post pictures and specs when I receive them.

Define "supported"??
It's a thin piece of foam, it's not magically lifting your leg up or anything.

I am looking into purchasing a set of Vaughn Epic 8600 Pads but I had a couple questions that I thought maybe you guys might be able to help me answer first.
I am currently in a set of 34" Sherwood C5's and I am 5'9 with an ATK of about 17. My knee sits in the bottom of the cradle on my C5's but will occasionally miss the landing gear. I do like a bigger thigh rise in my pads. They only offer the Epic 8600's in 32+1, 34+1 or 35+1 (near my size) on Goalie Monkey, so I was wondering which you guys think would be the right size to go with (none of my local shops carry Vaughn, so unfortunately I cannot try them on).
Additionally I was wondering what the differences are between the Epic 8600 and the Epic 8800 besides the obvious differences of cheaper materials, sliding toe bridge on the 8800 and the all leather straps on the 8800.
Thanks for the help!
