Njt42, just fix the boot flap yourself. It's not that hard to do.

I had the same problem with my V2 glove. Luckily I got my new glove and blocker in. But maybe if you heat it up in the oven like you do when you get a new glove you could shape it to how you want it. Or consider ordering a new glove cus that looks beat.

My t5500 is exactly the same as your glove, I think they're made like that. I thought of maybe adding an extra piece of plastic to the flimsy part of the t. But I really don't want to tear apart my trapper so I just have to live with it unless someone has a solution. P.S. I don't really want to bake my glove either.

The short part of the trapper is pushing the edge outward, my t5500 does this, I've been closing my glove and twisting that part ofthe tee outwards, and now it's starting to close like any other trapper.

Hey - first post - I've read almost all of this thread and I finally decided to join. I figured I'd post the set I ordered, so here goes. With any luck the gloves should be in at the end of this week or the beginning of next, and the pads should be in at the end of August. EPIC 8800s.
Pads
-Butterfly strapping
-Tapered calf wedge
-Velcro between knee wedges
-Velcro strap in knee cradle shortened
Stock glove
Blocker
-Diamond grip in palm
Here's my Microsoft Paint version of what they're going to look like. The colors are kind of off and it's all weave:
