not sure what piece you are talking about, but i have the 8800 blocker and it was a bit hard to grip the stick at first and it loosened up after the first use. so i would try it a couple of times to see if it breaks in before cutting stuff off.

I'm talking about the tiny flap that's by my index finger....
My old heaton blocker had hardly any protection compared to this...it feels like overkill to me, and I've never been hit by a puck where all this extra padding is... I can see how this would be beneficial so I don't break my wrist or hand but it's really awkward right now to hold the stick. I'll give it a few shots at shinny or something and see how it works... thanks for the reply!

Going to keep the gloves though. Even though I get a ton of pop-outs on the catcher.
Am I crazy for wanting to trade these?

I'm about to pick up a new blocker. I want to get the 8600 or the 7400. I've had the 7400 in my hands in a store and was pretty pleased with finger protection and balance. I've heard good things about the 8600, too but didn't had it in my handys and the finger protection looks not good on the pictures. The 7400 is only 25€ more, is it worth it? Is it a better unit?

Just curious, what is your ATK, and how do these fit for you - I'm thinking of getting some 35+2's as well
Thanks!

Hey Python, how did you attach those pictures full size like that? When I try to do it it gives me the dumb little thumbnail that opens a new page. I did a search on attaching photos and I got a bunch of stuff about photobucket and that kind of stuff.

After much deliberation the past few weeks, or months, i have decided to cut off the calf stabilizers/wedges or what you might call them. I have yet to try them on the ice. I should get 1/2 a pound off of the pads, give or take. This should help me with my moving and recoveries.
I'm referring to my Velo1s of course.

Rich
I just got a new pair of V3s and I coming from a set of V1s that didn't have
calf wedges. I've worn the V3s a couple of times on the ice and I am thinking of doing the same thing. I am finding the calf wedges to be a bit cumbersome when I am moving and I don't slide as well with them either.
