I took a look through around 10 pages on here and I couldnt find anything.
Does anyone have any 2006 Vaughn 3700 Pads? I'm considering them as a new pair cause my DR 5.2's (tons ofmods and repairs done to them) are running out of life.
I'd like a review or just some opinons if possible. Thanks.

Just a quick update, that new 5500 I have is snaggin' pucks great. I got the pro palm which makes it really stiff, but it's slowly getting broken in.

Nice catch, Aaron, but I still think the new one I just got is better. If I ever get one of these digital cameras working, I'll prove it too.
And pro palms do suck at first, but they're well worth it in the long run.

i didn't get a pro palm in my glove and since it's nhl size i'm catching a lot in the palm, getting stingers like crazy, but i'm learning, i never was a believer in them but i may change my thinking this next time around, we'll see what happens

As promised, pics of the gloves. Vaughn was spot-on, as per usual in my experience. I was quoted 6-8 weeks and received them 7 weeks later to the day. I was pleasantly surprised by some additions / upgrades I didn't ask for. Needless to say, I'll be ordering the matching Velo pads sometime soon.
T5500 Catcher:
NHL spec
bindingless cuff
pro logos
name embroidery (Lester)
no wrist strap (backhand strap only)
colors (all white, black logos)
single T (although the T is actually a Velo T, which I didn't ask for but don't mind)
*was surprised to see they did tone-on-tone embroidery for the Vaughn logo*
B7000 Blocker:
NHL spec
bindingless face
+1" longer wrist strap
legal sideboard
extra finger protection
name embroidery (Lester)
pro logos
colors (all white, black logos)
*they added the removeable sideboard pillow ala the Epic at no charge*

Yes, I know they're awesome.

Tom- We both know my Summit/Epic setup better. That said, all white looks pretty damn good. BTW, how has drop in been?

That's because you asked for pro logos. In the NHL, the number of logos allowed is under regulation. Companies are going against that rule by using tone on tone embroidery. LIke Itech's and Brian's embroided logos on the fron of their pads.
On this pic, you can see the Itech's "i" embroided in black on black on Gerber's thigh. @ logos allowed on the front of the pads. They wrote Itech and Prodigy, so the i had to be blanked out.

Bit of a newbie vaughn question,
I'm looking to purchase a Vaughn glove set, Currently have 580 blocker and 590 catcher.
Is the epic that much different from the V2 blocker? I loved the feel of the blocker and how it was light and real snug on my hand.
Is there any difference in break from a epic, v2, and T5500? I'm told a T5500 is like a 590, but i liked the feel of the v2 when i tried it on.
Thanks for the help in advance guys,
Patrick

This has been going on since the start of the NHL charging fees for every piece of goalie gear. Nothing new.
