No, before they were charging yes, but there wasn't any politics about logo sizes. Remember the 560 Koho pads with the name going across the entire outside gusset? Vaughn was doing the same thing. Brian's had 4 or 5 logos on the pads. Now, the number and the size of the logos are restricted. The NHL started to charge in 1990 or 91 I think.
Examples:
Too many logos on gloves:
All those pictures were taken after the NHL started to charge advertising fees.

Im talking about the companies who didnt want to pay for there pants to be in the show. They just used Black/Red/Blue, etc tread for there name to match the color of the pants, Neck Guards, ETC.

Is there any difference in break from a epic, v2, and T5500? I'm told a T5500 is like a 590, but i liked the feel of the v2 when i tried it on.
Thanks for the help in advance guys,

The epic and v2 blocker are constructed very differently but a blocker is a blocker really. they both feel pretty good to me, i chose the epic mainly because it was bindingless.. the only BIG difference i could tell is the thumb and finger protection and the v2 has a diamond grip palm that lets you grip the stick better, which i wish my epic had.
i own the T5500 and it is by far the best glove i've ever used. a stock v2 is completely different in construction and closure, you use more of the tips of your fingers to close it rather than your palm. personally, i hate the stock epic. i think the pocket is way too small and it just feels funny to me. i'd say go with a T5500 if you can, but they are kinda hard to find now, or a v2 if you liked how it felt

And the stripes on the calf aren't too bad, it was when they had the stripes on the knee wings that was real bad...

I like the tiger stripe graphic. It would look good with the team I am going to be on for the next four years. Decisions....Decisions

My new Velo2 gloves being shipped to me from a fellow BBer. Can't wait to get them. My Christmas present to me!!
Should go well with my all white V2 pads and I just picked up a pair of Velo pants as well. I think I am set for awhile.
