New Custom V2's
Sorry for the new thread, but Im just too excited. I ordered new V2's in late October and was promised 8 weeks and they did a pretty good job and got them today. I was thinking about jumping on the RBK bandwagon but then decided to go back to Vaughns. I'll post a review after I've worn them a couple of times on the ice.
Mods:
- 11'' wide
- Graphic (White, Navy Weave, Silver Weave)
- ''Pro'' knee
- no tiger stripes
- stuffed tighter- more stiffness
- 34+1

V1 knee break
pro square extended knee wing
squared up thigh
no tiger stripes
pro stuff/thinned out
They got everything but they made the pads 35+2.5, which ended up fitting better. They also forgot the name embroidery. (this was The Hockey Shops fault, not Vaughns)
Glove
Vaughn 5500
Name Embroidery
Custom colors - Black/Sport Gold
No cheater
Floating T
1.5 inches added to tee
Single Tee
Skate Lace Pocket
Old 5500 break
Bindingless
pro logos
They did not take the cheater off. They also made the glove NHL spec sizing, which I did not ask for. It worked out any way because I like the NHL spec.
Blocker
Itech 11.8
Colors: Black/Sport Gold/Black
Name embroidery
here are the pics:

that 2-1 loss was a killer btw...shutout going into the last 2 min then two huge breakdowns give you'll the wins

Well I had the idea for the color scheme a long time ago lol. We actually are not playing down any premier players, in fact our top scorer, Davenport, moved up to Premier. We were missing a lot of players when we played you guys in the summer. We didn't have Roberts, Frank, or Borner. We also played a terrible game.
Yeah I can imagine how brutal that loss was.

I had scene one pro with the graphic but with a slight difference that was leightonen. I had scene no other pros with it. Decided to order it and about a month after I placed my order dukes started offering it along with several other stores. I had thought that very few other people would order it because at the time it was unique which was why I ordered it. That and I like two tone pads more then multiple colour pads.

He wasn't suspended. He missed saturdays game completely because he is still recovering from a seperated shoulder, he played on Sunday, but I'm not sure why he didn't wear his number, he may have forgotten his jersey. That kid is huge though 6-5, 290, benches over 300 LBS and can shoot 90+ MPH

I can't believe I didn't post in this thread.....
This was one of the nicest pad/glove sets that I have had next to my current Vapors. Someone owns them and is enjoying them now. They were really well built! Vaughn always makes great stuff.
As far as the 07 V-3....I'm betting that we got an early preview when the Ward pads were posted....not so much the pad though.....

Gasman, are you saying that the new V3 pad stock graphic is that "3700-ish" graphic?
You have the best V2 pads ever. Your mods make a lot of sense, I remember them from your review, and the color and graphic are amazing!
