Sliding toe bridge as well. Hmm I hate to say it but I might fall to the temptation.

maybe not to you but to those who can't afford velos this is the next best thing. I would rather by these. They look nicer and I dont have the money for velos. If I had the money for real velos I would buy those and still get the graphic changed.

They can do that because of a part of copyright law that states that certain things cannot be copyrighted. In their opinion a goal pad is a goal pad no matter what the differences are. This keeps monopolies at bay and allows for a free trade market no matter how unfair or underhanded some companies are. This law also applies to a number of other things such as tools( i,e, a screwdriver is a screwdriver no matter what is different about it)

You realize you can buy a sliding toe bridge separately?

Those ******* pads look better then the V3 and the V2 in my opinion, they seem to have a slimmer profile and look less like big puffy pillows (like vaughns tend to do...). Less is more in pad thickness in my books...

Don't feel bad for Vaughn...they aren't losing sleep over it In a discussion I had with Dennis at Vaughn USA, he told me that all that has to be done is one minor change and it is not considered the same exact pad. That plus all the time and money it would cost to persue any legal action is not worth it I would assume.

You do realize that little thigh flap is easily removable right? If that is your only reason to not get a V3 you can always get a modded V2

I'm starting to wonder if this glove has the double pro palm because it's pretty darn stiff.
Plus, with the new pro spec trappers, is there a limit to how deep the pocket can be? Because this glove has virtually no pocket. It's a little disturbing. Obviously, if I custom ordered this I would have asked for a deeper pocket.

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time with the new glove. It is really sweet looking though As far as the limit to the pocket depth, the rule is I believe, 18" from the tip of the T following the contour of the pocket to the heel of the glove.

Pocket depth has little to do with catching the puck. If you catch it right, the puck will stay in.
Adding length to the T, for the most part, just increase weight (slightly).

Part of my problem is getting use to how much smaller then glove is. I find that a lot of shots that I think I can save, I end up a little short on catching.
You really have to almost palm the puck to save it. I guess I just got a little too dependent on using the pocket to save it and not my hand.

Actually, this kind of copying is common in every industry and actually in most cases, probably doesn't hurt the OEM's sales at all...at least not to any significant degree.
Those who want and can afford a Vaughn Velocity pad, will buy one regardless. Those who can't afford it or do not see the value in spending the extra money, will either buy a set used off ebay or go the ******* route. Either way, it usually doesn't impact Vaughn's new sales.
The only time the OEM usually gets concerned is when a product is being set up to pass as the OEM...or in other words, is a fake and is intended to mislead the consumer. The ******* stuff is look-a-like for sure but no one is misled into thinking they are actually purchasing a Vaughn product.

Actually I find that you just need to follow the puck to the glove more precisely. I mean, I had a tough time at first with the smaller glove, now I love it and will never use one of those big clumbsy mitts again I don't catch many pucks in the palm of my glove either...most just go right into the pocket. Give it some time
