"official" Eddy Masks Thread
This is where Eddy users, and maybe some critics, can post pics of their buckets and also discuss the lifestyle that is Eddy Masks. It's a place for everything Eddy.
See my eddy/ itech 4600 thread here:
Eddy GT or Itech 4600
Here are some pics of my new Eddy helmet:
I will write a short review about it here in the near future when I play a few with it.

How do you like the certified cat eye?
Does it provide much more vision than the stock certified cage?

It provides far superior frontal vision if you get one that fits your head right and your eyes line up. After a couple of adjustments I got it to fit right and it barely is noticecable, makes you feel like you're wearing less of a helmet. It does have more wires on the side but your peripheral vision is less important thus priority is placed on the frontal part for sight. You'd have to try it on to see if you like it though; it's more of a preference thing although the eddy C/Cateye looks pretty dang sweet.

I have the old stock certified cage and I'm losing vision straight down into the belly of my C/A and feet shots.
That's where a new cage could help!
I noticed on Eddy's website, the GT is offered only with the standard cert cage or pro catseye only....is that suggesting the cert cat won't fit ?

Definitely not. I think all eddy models come with the Certified Cat available, although I may be wrong. If you're buying online I'd recommend to atleast try on an eddy C/Cateye because they're not for everyone's style. It also takes some getting used too (2 games for me), which is why most dislike it.

Hey man,
Not that this will help with the cateye dilema, but if you look at my GT pics above, you'll notice that for some reason there is what I believe to be a Eddy 1000 cage on my GT. I bought it a few days ago and noticed that the two frontal vertical bars go parallel till the top of the cage, whearas on the normal GT cage the bars split off at like 45 degree angles before connecting to the top of the cage. I know the stock GT wire is steel with chrome, and so is the "semi-bubble" Eddy 1000 cage. So I don't think It's a big deal, but it's weird. What do you guys think?

Definitely interesting.
How does that semi bubble cage feel?
Do you have any sight line complaints?
The Eddy site says that it brings your face deeper into the cage for better visibility...is it true?

I'm not sure about the sight lines as I have not yet used it in a game, however it seems good.
This cage thing is really bewildering. Why do I have a different cage? Is it the Eddy 1000 cage? Is this cage cheaper than the stock GT certified cage? Upon tightening the screws on my mask, and I did so because of prior posts, I found that there were white spots where there was paint chipping where the screws go in. The holes where the screws went in weren't clean. The screws aren't flush to the helmet as maybe they should be (are they on other Eddy helmets?).
My cage dilema is simply the following: 1) I don't want to have a cheaper/weaker cage than what I should be getting with a GT, and 2), I want to make sure the cage fits properly as to not be dangerous.
Can any of you guys offer any other insight?
THANKS!!

good stuff
Nice! My GT is also medium. Do the straps on the harness look frayed to you? Mine got really shabby and frayed after only about 4 games with it. I had the local store melt the ends and sew them up. The sewing on the harness is really poor. Great mask, but I would pre-emptively do something about the harness before it unravels on you too!
Enjoy.
