Its not +1 or +2 because its custom sizing.

The only way is if the boot and shin are the exact measurement of that pro and the thigh rise is the exact as stock as well.

Very highly unlikely.

timmy, timmy, timmy...It's just for fun. It's fun to know what the pro's are wearing. It's fun to know what each other are wearing, and seeing new gear, or the same old gear in diffent colors.
If it's not your kind of fun. Do everyone a favour and ignore the thread.

the stock thigh rise from what vaughn says is 9" from mid of mid knee roll to top of pad

the shin and boot have nothing to do with this measurement im not asking about how it sits on the goalie im asking what do you think the rise is

Like I said, having held Ward's pads in my hands and having worn stock Velos, they seem like a +2 to me.

Ward - +2
Nitty - +3 1/2

I saw both spec sheets a month back.

you can use common sense and visual use the distance above the knee rolls to figure it out....

Those all blacks pads look like a 33" + 1" or 34" + 1". Stock 36" have a taller thigh rise than a stock 34", so when you add an inch to a stock 36", the thigh rise will be taller than a 34" + 1". So comparing nitty's pads visually to those black pads are like comparing apples and a$$h***s. Also nitty's pads have totally square top and wards don't, so wards don't look as big. I am just going off memory but I am 75% sure they are both 36" + 1". I may eat my words tomorrow but I will find out for sure.

This is to cupsave..........I don't mean to be a dick, but if the guy said he saw their spec sheets, then how can you say its a 36+1? Some people just can't admit defeat.............

I retract my statement. nitty's are a 37" + 1" (95% sure). Wards 36"+1" (educated guess). Believe me or not.

Nitty's are +3.......I know this because Gary Doma @ Duke's had Vaughn make a set to his (Nitty's) specs as a display for the store included in the order was a spec sheet with the mods for people that asked.......

The whole.....Vaughn won't do more than +2 is a myth....because my V2's are 7 weeks old and are +2.5".......they will do whatever ANY customer wants (pro or not).
