Thumbs up

Ya man,

I've went the Razor way also. I thought since I was upgrading from the widowmaker series, I would put in a few extra dollars this time and protect what's important...not that the Richochet is bad, just that the Razor fit slightly better.

For arguments sake, getting hit in the head a good solid 10-20 times with the other and now getting smashed in the face a few times with my new SportMask, there is NO comparison.

All the arguments for ringing and stuff are true. I don't feel a thing with this mask and even better, I feel safer putting my face on the ice to stop a shot

(Don't flame me for that one!!!)

My custom painted T3 is on the truck for delivery today! I just want to leave work and sit at home waiting for it.
I'll be sure to post some pix asap.

My Custom painted T3

Here's my custom painted T3. Feels about as light/heavy as my old Brian's. I can't wait to test it out on the ice.

Anyone have any tips on adjusting the straps/chin cup to be the most comfortable?

lose the chin cup altogether.

I could never get a chin cup to be straight or symetrically positioned.

Now I just have a maltese chin pad and I'd never go back to the chin cup.

Nice mask, I reversed my chin cup and had it sliced/trimmed so that it doesn't dig into my neck. Works o.k. for now.
Looking into the Maltese chin cup next.

My Ricochet with Jarrett paint. I wanted to keep it simple with the lines running from chin to ear and the white trim around the shell. I used to have a white cateye, but it was dented as seen in the last pic. The logo is my school's but the color scheme is changed to match my gear. Backplate is Los Tres Ojos, a logo for my fav band The Mars Volta. I have had it for about a year now so I do have some knicks on it.

Razor or Ricochet?

Currently i'm wearing an old Heaton mask in Martin Brodeur colors. It needs replacing, so I tried the updated CCM version (with a wolf on it; I couln't resist) but that mask does not ft me well at all.

Last October while in Toronto I tried on a Sportmask Razor VX and had one of those "Ohhhhh ... damn. How much is this gonna cost?" moments. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my sport glasses, so I couln't tell whether it would fit with them on. I came back a few days later, but someone had bought the one I tried on, and all that was left was one with a cat-eye cage. (I measured my head according to the instructions on the web site and that confirms the "Medium" size that fit best at the store.)

There are a few Sportmask Ricochet VE available on eBay for a decent price, and I'm thinking about getting one. What I want to know first is whether the Ricochet fits like the Razor.
