Sportmask people = FANTASTIC

In light of the Sportmask thread that was posted the other day, I just thought I'd counter with my 2 cents...

I recently bought an older Sportmask Razor off of this board, but couldn't use it in my league because it had a cateye cage. After having some difficulties fitting some newer Sportmask cages onto the mask, I decided to email Sportmask themselves and ask about where I could buy a cage that was guaranteed to fit.

Well, not only did they reply to all my emails and answer all my questions almost immediately (and believe me, there were many emails! ), they told me to ship the mask to them along with $70 CDN for a new cage and a "mask tune-up". I shipped it out on Monday afternoon, and found my "new" mask waiting for me when I got home today!! Now THAT's fast! The new cage was on perfectly, all old rusted screws were replaced with bright shiny ones, the old headband was replaced AND they threw in a bunch of spare screws and a new mask bag!!

All in all, FANTASTIC people! If anyone is on the fence about chosing Sportmask, just know that in addition to your great product, you're getting amazing customer service. And this is coming from a guy who bought a second-hand Sportmask! Imagine if I bought a new one!

Tony is a good guy with great customer service by some of the posts on this board, but to say his customer service stands alone, is kind of an unfair Judgment of other companys. i think there are many good companys on this board alone. who would feel a bit Insulted by that statement.

I suspect the term "stands alone" was not meant as an insult to others, but a praise of Tony. It is something of a cliched phrase.
Obviously I have read many great reviews on product and customer service from other mask companies including you Kicksave. Let's not be over sensitive and turn this into something it isn't.

I am also a Sportmask wearer and fan of Tony's. His customer service is outstanding for sure, and I"m really happy for him getting another NHLer in his mask!

I can attest to Tony's great service. I had a cracked Sportmask Razor that he mended up. He also made me a brand new one. That's right, he fixed the cracked mask AND he made a brand new one to go along with it.

Also, Gary Doma fixed the paint chips on the cracked one.

Unbelievable service from these guys.

I'm wondering -- how much did the masks + paint jobs cost all of you? I'm in the market for a new mask, but I'm not too sure how much I'm looking at.

I don't think that's a fair statement to make. Have you done business with all that make mask?
