But speaking of pants - do you know offhand what the model or who wore the pants that I got from you? Im just curious thats all. Still really happy with them

They're pro return CCM 620's from the Calgary Flames. They were only made for pro goalies. I couldn't tell you who worn them as they were both from ebay.

Rockhell, I got pictures for you.
Here's my pads after about a year and a half of heavy use. They've held up great.
They hold s pretty well and are very flexible.
me using only a bit of pressure. They hold a nice shape. I have never had any problems with flex in these pads.

I really, really like the protection of the McKenney chest units. I really don't like the clavicles or arms.

Flite=McKenney
Hey guys, cool gear.
I hold the off-branded McKenneys (Flites) but it's the same gear AFAIK.
This is my first set and I enjoy them because of the protection and comfort zone in the leg channel. They flex well and surprisingly work well in BF mode.
As a matter of fact, I was looking to get new pads only because I wanted to try a higher thigh rise and I am having trouble deciding whether or not to let them go - I can't afford to keep these and pay for new pads. These are just over a year with usage this season being 4 times a week..THEY HOLD UP !
The S-curve on these are great here is a pic.
Hopefully I didn't hi-jack this thread because they are not branded McKenney.

Nice S's in the pads. Maybe thats the difference between the 452's I got and your 852's. All I guess I can do is just keep working my pads and hopefully they'll start S'ing eventually.

quick question for you McKenney pad wearers...
What pads of the big companies would you compare McKenney's to, for example:
852 Instinct 1or2 = ???? (maybe a velo?)
755 Pro Lite = ???? (RBK P1 perhaps?)
Thanks!

Anybody know the real-world differences between the Mckenney 852 and 755 c/a? I read the specs on their website, but aside from different looking belly blocks they look very similar. I'm looking for a c/a with flexible arms, not too bulky and decent protection from my beer-league opponents.

755 vs. 852:
- Less bulky vs. more bulky
- Very good chest protection vs. excellent chest protection
- not great arm protection vs. excellent arm protection
- lighter vs. heavier
- great arm mobility vs. good arm mobility
- excellent overall mobility vs. very good overall mobility
I have both units but I use the 852 more because of the better arm protection although I prefer the mobility of the 755. Comes down to priorities: more mobility vs. less protection.
I play "low level" beer league but some of those guys can blast a puck...

My setup as of right now. I still love my mckenneys, there a little heavy but an awesome pad and they hold great flex. I love em.
Here are my 855 pants, best pants ever.
And these are my McKenney 452 Int. Instinct gloves that are FOR SALE. Contact me if you are interested or check the classifieds.

I bought a barely used set of Pro-Specs off of pizdoffsquirrel on this site (well, technically on ebay, well, even more technically not on ebay, kind of through three stages until it was just by email, but w/e) and the thing that really sold me was before i had bought them i checked them out at united cycle and the catcher just felt so nice, the best one i have ever tried so i had to have it. The next thing on my list to replace is my old brian's c/a, and to me there's no question that the Mckenney 755 is the way to go. I've tried it briefly and it feels like a tank and i can move so well. Plus hearing three pages of people saying they're fantastic helps my decision making.

The 755 chest protector rocks. I've worn mine about 20 times and its solid, no stingers, great movement, great flexibility, and its not too heavy. I've worn all the big name chest protectors but this one is by far the best.
GREAT BUYYY!!!!!
