Vaughn Velocity 1 practice review

So one of my buddies let me borrow his Vaughn Velocities today during practice. He just got these like a month ago. Sick set up, orange and white. The orange is the main part and the stripes are white.
So I started putting these on, wow these were insanely small compared to my 35+2 RBKs, I'd need at least a 36+2 or 37+2 for these, my knee were at the top of the channel.

At first they felt amazing. My other goalie, Danny has a sick Vaughn V2 set up too, White and gold. He told me to put them on, it was way different than the RBKs or Xceeds that I've had.

Something that I notice that the landing pillows aren't wide at all! They are tiny that really made me worry.

So when I got on the ice, I started trying to slide with the pads, almost impossible for me. They were over rotating extremely bad. So I fixed that by tightening the pads. The butterfly in these are a 10/10 A+!!! But still they were too small. Calf Stabilizer? My ass, no way. This thing made me fall back the whole time.

Over all, I'd give these a 8/10, rebound control was extremely good. But I think I'm going to stick with stiff pads or my RBKs for now.

Let me know if you have any questions...

Thanks,

/Rob
