Here is a list of the Brian's gear I'm currently using.

Altramax C/A I added a strap on the back side of stomach area to hook into the belt of my pants.
34" Altralite pads (no mods)
Comet gloves (trapper & blocker)

I'm also demo'ing a set of pro-return Alite 34+4

I've used in the past a Thief trapper It was to big for me. The thing is the size of a small satellite dish.

bguminey, what was the upcharge to put the beast graphic on the dx2? Also hows sliding without any graphics on knee and calf? Do you notice a diference? Velocitys and dx2s are very similar pads in how they play. Dx2 are like a thinner flat face velos.

Flyer8800 im sorry I do not know what your talking about I just placed my order today for my dx2 from thehockeyshop.com and I stayed with the dx2 graphics. As far as playing goes not that ive played in the dx2s yet obviously but my velos are a lot more flexible the dx2 seems more stiffer to me compared to the velo 2 the velo 3 is a bit stiffer but thats it. I went with the dx2 because of how squared it is compared to the velos and the weight seems less. here are my mods

DX2 Pads 36+1
Shorter 8" boot
Nylon knee peice
All leather straps
No graphic on inside calf and knee
No raised ridges
Squared knee landing
NHL speced glove and blocker trapper has pro palm
colors black black metallic gold metallic gold
