Air Fifty One C/A

I did a search but couldn't find anything... Is anyone using a Brian's Fifty One C/A? If so, how's it protection wise? I bought one but haven't used it at all... Lately I have been getting a lot stingers with my old C/A (7 years old), I think it might be time to switch.

How long would it take to order in these specific pads? Just the pads.. I'm talking the bear!

Time frame

A few weeks ago , with my last order at Brian's , the wait time was 4 to 6 weeks and they did my glove within 4 weeks. You can check with your local Brian's dealer or an online seller if it is still the same at this time... so maybe it would only take 5 weeks to get your new pads ! If your going with the DX2 pro , I would suggest that you take the Thief's inner knee cradle and the Thief's calf landing wing , I don't know what the others will say but I think it will makes the pads better IMO !

What exactly does that do? (the theif knee pad and stuff) Are there any other specific customs I could get for a hybrid goalie and with a pretty tight butterfly (I may get an extra break)?

There are so many custom modifications you could think about , even asking for something found on an other brand as well... I think the knee channel is less busy with the Thief/Beast system , I did use the DX2 donut style and it was fine but I prefer the large / one piece knee wrap thing. The Thief wings are smaller and work better for me too so it is only personal recommendations here... Asking an extra break could make the pads more game ready and flexible but it would only be useful to save time over the break-in period I belive but if you talk about to ask for a second V-roll break , then it could be real good to close the 5 hole with a tight B-Fly stance... and now we know that the new Zero G line will feature a double break vertical roll... maybe you would want to see what will be the Zero G before to order a new set of pads ? They are supposed to weight under 5lbs per pad !

This is the outer part on the pad's face that prevents ship-over , some does not have any break at all , some gets one at knee only , some above and some gets both , like Vaughn V2-V3 or also like the Turco Break from RBK model... Brian's never did double v-roll pads yet so the Zero G will be the first model to have that feature... at least , thats what has been said about it... nobody gets pictures yet ?

butterfly

hey i got a question. i have brians demons that are 34+2 12". Ive had them since they came out (04 or 05?). anyways, idk if its the way i broke them in or not, but i could never get a solid butterfly with a covered five hole like you see with rbk's or V3's. Is this because of the way i broke them in... or is it just the pads? thanks.

I'm taking my Zero-G's to the next level...I'm so excited for them...I can't wait.

The foam is supposed to be revolutionary...allowing a full distrobution of shock before the puck leaves the pad...meaning...No rebound.

For once, I really can't wait for this pad to come in...It's going to be amazing.

Demon

If you got the first model , it is 2003. The way they made them was ridged top thigh with little bend for five hole B-fly coverage. But they stay pretty much straight so they cannot get the curve you're looking for. What I did with mines was to remove all the ballistic stuffing in the thighs zone so that only the foam remains. Then it was possible to broke the foam in and it did keep more of the S shape to really close the five hole , at least more than the stock pad... PM me if you want to see a pic of how I did it.

Maybe 4 weeks before you get them ?? more? What colors did you ask for ? I guess I should have ordered mine yet too but I did prefer to wait and see the pads , always a few custom features to ask here and there...

Old Scholl

For a real matching set , You take the new Zero G with no graphic , you put the old thigh point with a different middle knee bar colour and that will be old scholl... and then you may ask for some old Brian's shin/boot graphic ,like, by exemple their double or their triple flames ones that were sharp IMO or just stick with a solid colour... a lot of possibilities here... that's about it.
