PM me tomorrow and give me your honest opinion on the paint, the mask itself is fantastic. I talked to Dom today and he was clearing it, he said it did not get scratched in transit... that was my biggest concern. Can't wait to see it cleared

Truth of the matter is Dom is getting screwed by the painters, whomever they may be. He gets the masks done and these guys take forever to complete the paint. It is unfortunate because since the painter is contracted by Dom he gets the heat.

It's my understanding (from talking w/the painter) that he does what the mask maker tells him to finish first (priority masks) and that in turn sets the painter back... first into paint isn't necessarily the first out. sure the mask gets made quickly and into the paint shop, but if the mask maker sets priorities over your mask for whatever reason (pro's masks, friends, Charity replica masks, etc.) as to what gets painted, then it's not necessarily the painters fault, he's just doing what the mask maker wants..... So it may not be as simple as the painter holding things back.

Now I'm dealing with the NHL kicking off in a month or 2 (3 months ago the timing was better) so I hope this is a done deal that doesn't keep getting kicked back longer... and I can post my sweet new lid on here and tell about how it was worth the money and the wait!

Champ,
Next time you go to Dom's take a camera.. i wish that i lived close enough to go for a visit.. His shop sounds like something to see first hand.
Maybe a weekend roadtrip is in order.
I am in no hurry for mine.. I am going to be honored to just own a mask built by Dom. So being low on the list is fine with me..
Its understandable that the NHL masks would take priorty.. again i just think its great he is doing full custom mask for us beer leaguers..

But please more PICS!

As promised to everyone i got my mask back from Dom as he put in the new crock's foam for me.I went with the blue colored foam and here are my initial rections to the new foam:
1) It's lighter than the foam Dom previously used
2) It's got a "grip" to it which makes the mask feel that much better and should help grip to your head/face when sweating
3) Has a slight anti-bacterial smell to it (barely noticable)

I had Dom insert a chin sling for me and when i put my mask on with the new sling inserted,it felt that much nicer!!! (not that it didn't feel nice to begin with).
It brings my face closer to the cage but not as much as i initally thought (which i was a bit worried at 1st).This is the 1st time i've ever had a chin sling in my mask and now i can see why people who do have them love them.I doubt i'll ever go back to a chin cup and i was only wearing my mask for around 10mins. to get used to it.As for how the new crock's foam will absorb the impact on hard shot's,i won't be able to find that out until next week but i'll be sure to keep you guys informed on that as well. Here's the link to the pic i took (you can enlarge the pic to get a better view of the foam and the chin sling).Enjoy!!!!

Thanks.

Tater's mask came out great as well. Jim Lee's Batman is definitely one of the best I've seen done and probably a pain in the ass to draw, but Don nailed it.

Seems like a Pro's Choice holiday on GSBB!

Guys..Keep us informed on how the croc foam works for you. I'm thinking of switching too. I just want to wait and see first.

Mx42..Congrats on your Vapor mask too!
