skate problem EMERGENCY!!!!!

I play inline and I use Tour beemers. When I skate out, I just change the wheels out. I was skating out in a rec game and my front right wheel kept coming unscrewed. Upon further investigation, it's completely stripped so the single screw wont screw into the chassis. This is important because I leave for JO in Detroit on Wednesday and I can't afford a brand new chassis or skates. Does anyone have a solution to this? I use a Labeda Hum'er chassis.

You can see how it's a single screw that screws straight through back into the chassis.

Another solution if somebody was feeling generous enough would be for me to either borrow a chassis for this tournament from somebody in the Denver or Detroit area or to sell me one for cheap. ANY chassis. I just need something that works to get me through this tourny and then I can find a more permanent solution

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can you go to a hockey store and get new screws?

I would but it's not the screw. The chassis is stripped so that the screw won't screw into it like it should.

Seems like you would have to use something similar to a heli-coil to replace the stripped threads.

if it was me, this is what i would do

go to a hardware store, get a bolt/machine screw with a pan head the same diameter but longer by around 3/16"-1/4"(but youll have to measure) and a nylon insert locknut.
thread the bolt through the chassis and wheels so the threads poke out towards the outside of the skate (so the nut doesnt interfere with the b-fly) put a flat washer on then the nut, tighten it up good but not so good you bend the chassis

ps you might have to open up the stripped threaded hole jus a hair to get the bolt throught clean

If its not the front or back wheel can you just not use that wheel? you dont REALLY need the middle two wheels.

Cheers

thats probably the best way to do it, in the most little time, or unless you want to experiment and try tapping some new threads.

An alternitive would be to use a sex bolt. it's kinda like a shoulder bolt with internal threads. Then you screw in the mating piece and you're set. If you go to mcmaster.com, you should be able to find one that will work. and they usually can deliver them next day.
