Where to donate gear for needy kids?

I remember reading about a program where usable gear could be donated to inner city kids learning to play ice hockey. We've got a lot of (mostly goalie) stuff that Nate's outgrown, and we'd like to give some kids an opportunity to play. Does anyone have contact information on something like this?

I think Hockey in Harlem NYC did at one time. The Rangers work with them alot. A little far. But I'm sure you can find someone in Va. Do they have like a Police Athletic League ?

Maybe also contact your local rink(s) too. They might have some additional ideas for you.

If you're in Northern VA, you could donate to the FT. Dupont Cannons program in SE D.C. They were in USA Hockey Magazine a few months back.

Thanks. That's the article I remember seeing. I'm in central Virginia, but could certainly bring the stuff up to the DC area. Do you happen to have contact info on tham? I can dig it out myself, of course, but if you have it handy it will save me some digging.
