Yeah, I play for Aquinas D1. It is kind of upsetting that we did not get very far in playoffs this year especially seeing as we beat both of the teams that played in the State championship (Massena and West Genny). We got knocked out in our sectional semis against thunder.

Tell me about it. We beat Thousand Islands both times we played them in the regular season and then we lose to Salmon River in the semis and TI makes it to the state finals.

Here's my butterfly. It's not the best angle, but let me know what you think.

Looks good Duff.

I guess I'll post some "better" pics of my butterfly. They aren't from the best angle but my butterfly is MUCH better than what I posted earlier in the thread.

Both pics were chest saves which is why I'm not upright.

Zay - what's your stick doing in those shots? I know some guys will say "it was a chest shot, who cares where his stick is" - but to me, it's important to have your stick on the ice. This allows it to be active.

In both those picks you let out rebounds, having your stick down and ready gives you a better chance to use your stick to pull the loose puck back in to control it.

In general, being ready to have an active stick is always a good thing. Making a conscious effort to involve my stick more was one of the biggest instant improvements in my game.

Secondly - chest shots should be controlled - try to figure out why those pucks are bouncing out so far.

I tucked my blocker and catcher in which is probably why my stick was like that. I know it's not good to do. My rebound control has been HORRIBLE since Feb. I don't know what the hell happened because in the beginning of the season rebound control was one of the strongest aspects of my game. I'm slowly starting to get better at controlling my rebounds and keeping those chest shots where they should be. In my chest then in my glove.

Thanks for the advice.

Keep it up man! I always seem to find that rebound control is like a golfer's putting game...it'll come and go and requires constant attention to try and stay as consistent as possible!

I speak from experience...the bad kind...lol.

Can someone PLEASE send this photo to Bettman to show him exactly who's fault it is that they can't score?!?!?!?

Look at all that net to shoot at!!

Just a couple of side notes...is he "marking" him like a dog??

Also, I hate when I leave that little gap (that seems to be a puck magnet!!!) under the stick where the pads come together!!! I know it looks tiny, but I think shooters think it's the Lincoln Tunnel.
