I read a lot of criticism on butterflies in this thread, although it's hard to criticize when you don't know the situation.

You don't need to pull off a "perfect" butterfly if you know where the puck is headed. The only instance where you need to perform a "perfect" butterfly is when you're going on a 100% pure guess on where the puck is headed, that way you cover the most net you can and hope the puck hits you. In normal circumstances though, you'll almost never have to pull off a perfect butterfly.

I only use .. as close as I can muster to what you guys consider the 'perfect butterfly' when I'm being screened. I find that in anyother situation, the shooters can just nail me top shelf, and also for shots from the point (which im usually screened on anyways ) since you can't see them sometimes..

Yeah, its between my chest and arms which explains why my stick is off the ice, somebody must've been thinking "what terrible glove positioning"

Bellness- Thanks

I have a better pic of my wide bfly in "Show Off Your Gear" but my gloves where in awful position and i lost my stick so i didn't bother

It is hard to find a perfect shot of you in your butterfly postion. So I have a couple.

That is the closest to my butterfly, check out that tiny C/A though lol compared to the new one!
