Good joke.
I assumed you'd be used to comments like since you play goal with hideous chickens on your legs.

Why would you go into a butterfly if someone is shooting top shelf?

Looks real solid down low, dude. But yea, thats one of the disadvantages to that style of bfly. It doesnt protect the water bottle.

to STL tender.
First of all, how do u react to a shot from the bottom of the cirlce. In that situation im taking up as much net as possible.
and to glove save,
if hes gonna put it there he can have it. Ill take my chances. I prob have 90-95% of the net covered and thats pretty good in a desperate situation. So ill take my chances.

My B-fly
Although I'm on carpet this is a pretty accurate picture of my b-fly. (I believe it's a little bit wider on ice though, other than that it's the same. Also, my stick is a little out of place. As well, I would like to note that it also maybe hard to see but elbows are bent which is key)

This is a very good point. Below is a picture of butterfly in the original post and the other is of me in an overexadurated (spelling?) narrow butterfly. Look at how many holes there are in the first picture compared to the second picture. In no way am I trying to call glovesave11 out or claim to be a pro or anything but if you compare the pictures glovesave11 might want to go to a narrower butterfly where he can close the 5-hole properly.
(P.S. Please, if I'm wrong on anything please correct me on it!)

Yup yup. It's amazing the % of goals that go in the bottom 2 feet of the net.

first of all. completely getting "wide" butterfly so that you get a pretty seal to your 5 hole is "over rated"
good stick disciplines as well as driving your knees together and keeping them tight will seal up the 5 hole pretty well.
looking at my photo before of my flare and seal, what you dont understand is that i'm in motion in that photo (it's taken from an Hhigh def camera). if my stick were better angled (see keeks coaching tips 3) my pads wouldnt need to touch. Because my knees are locked close together (could be tighter), no real puck is going to beat me 5 hole. Even if the pads themselves were a little further apart

It's also scary how some guys can pick those tiny spots
Keeps me honest, though.

That may be a proper butterfly if you're MAF, the yellow totally clashes with the Ducks Jersey for the average goalie though.
You should be more concerned with looking good even if it means losing than looking bad and winning.

No, your right on. The stance in my original post was horrible. It was a quick shot while doing gameday streches. ( my actual stance looked to gay without c/a on )
My 5hole is something that I strugle with tho. My gear doesnt help me at all in this aspect, but my knees are fairly bendy, so I thing its just a matter of breaking bad habitts.
