IMO , looks like you just need to straighten up a bit more so that you are taller in your butterfly. Get your shoulders up and butt high off of the ice. That would help you ramp your stick less, as well as allow you to cover more net.

Is it the perspective, or is your stick not touching the ice at all?

Hopefully, you've fixed your rotation issues with your new V3's, and hopefully the extra two inches in height of your new pads hasn't made you lazy about keeping your knees together
And you seem like you know when your gloves have to be up and out and when you have to bring them down to your hips to seal off the sides of your body. Some guys just know one way or the other and live or die by that.

Can't... stay... silent... any.. longer! I have to say something.!
In just about every picture I've seen of you, your blocker hand is turned away from you and it seems like your arm is just dangling there. Straighten that blocker out and bring it forward. It'll greatly improve your stick positioning and control.
Plus, it bugs the ever living hell out of me.

I don't want to say that's not true, because it is. But I've noticed it and have greatly improved it since a majority of my pictures have been posted here.

just going by your pics, you have been able to close the 5 hole better, so thats good... its all about making yourself better one step at a time. who cares what the people here think..... take what you can and do what you can to better yourself.

This post is from the beginning of this thread, but I was just going through it and had to comment.
Sprawlie's argument is that guys like Giguere and Luongo who keep their knees together but whose pads don't seal together at the top have better control, a better base for reacting to a rebound and they still have no problems with stopping five hole shots.
But I think that he mis represented what he meant with this post.
I believe that it should be something along the lines of this: Tight knees = closed five hole; But don't confuse sealed pads with closed five hole.

1. Aw, c'mon. I gave him constructive criticism.
2. He's posting in a thread in which feedback is given about a specific aspect of goaltending.
