Granted, I can be a sucker for gimmickry and newfangled ideas, but these look neat. They allow someone to play with their setup to infinity without destroying things (which I've been prone to do in the past). I'm anxious to see how certain things hold up over time, like the straps (particularly the buckle portion), but I'm hoping they sell a boatload of them, so I can pick up a used set next year.

What is the break in the RX-9 glove?

It looks like a 60, but I am not really sure.

Thanks

Stupid thigh flap

Notice he never talks about the stupid thigh strap flap. And it appears to be missing from his own pads.

How do you like them zoom? I was sold the minute I put the gear on at my local shop. I love my Vaughn gear, but there was something about the RX-9 stuff that just felt that great. I loved the way the pads sealed the ice and 5-hole when in the b-fly Can't wait for my order to come in.

Fluery: The glove is awesome. I would say it's closer to a 60 degree break. I am used to a 5500/Epic closure and this glove falls into that catagory IMO.

Chester: Yes, the flap is stupid haha. It's only laced in so you can remove it easily if you wanted to. I know I am He's also not wearing the stock RX-9 in that video. He's wearing one with the DiPietro specs.

Well i just love mine, all the gear seems made with quality, pads are great, love the flexibility, they dont give off too many rebounds, great 5 hole coverage. Blocker is very light, ready to go right out of the box, never felt a thing, solid protection. trapper is awesome, took more time to break in, no stingers here, very solid. I have had RBK pro series 2, Vaughn v-3 and Brians thief all in the past year, yeah i'm a gear whore, but i can truely say, this is the best so far. Mine are sport gold, white and black and i always get awesome comments about their look.

I normally don't pay too much attention to new gear but these are making me go kind of ga-ga!

Ziggy,

Zoom and one other member (check the Itech Thread) on the board are the only ones I know of who have the RX-9 gear already. Mine are on order, but I got about 6-8 weeks to go. If nobody does a review before then, I'll do one.

Very similar to the RBK/Koho 60.
