Goalie cut RBK Platinum jersey - huge?

RBK Platinum Sr. Uncrested Practice Jerseys

Hey guys I'm thinking of ordering myself one of these and am torn between a goalie cut or a players XXL. I'm a tall guy 6'2" weigh about 200lbs and wear a XL Brian's Altramax C/A (not very bulky). I HATE baloony goalie cuts and am wondering if these newer RBK goalie cuts are any slimmer than your older style goalie cuts. I hate huge jerseys to the point that I'm considering buying a players XXL and widening the sleeves if needed.

What do you owners of these think?

Thanks
Ced

I'm quite a bit smaller, at 5'9" 155, but this jersey is honestly the biggest goalie cut jersey i have ever seen. On poke checks and playing the puck I have had the butt end of the stick get stuck in the jersey when i'm sliding the stick back down to my hand. If I had it over again I would just go with a larger player jersey.

If you want, you can just get an XXL players' jersey and get the end cut and tailored so that the tapered sleeves are a non-issue. That's what I'm gonna do, gonna buy a Habs RBK EDGE uni and get the ends tailored to fit nicely around my C/A.

Oh and while we're at it, does anyone know a good place that can do custom embroidery (pro kits) on jerseys in the Montreal area for a reasonable price? I want to get some #s and my name on this jersey I'm gonna buy.

I've had the same thing happen to me with poke checks. The jersey fits fine around the chest but the arms are just way too big right from the armpit out to the cuff. I'm not a tall guy either but unless your arms blocks are 10" wide this thing will hang off of you like a cheap suit. The sleeves are just as big around as the waist is. Unless this picture is you then get the XXL

Hahaha, what the eff is this?

James and the rest of you guys thanks for the input. I think I'm going to take my chances with a XXL. I can sew ok and am willing to alter the sleeves if needed.

Like they've said before... they are big but the arms are just huge. Also, they are a little short. I'm 5'6, and wear a medium **** matrix c/a. You can see my "wings" below. (right click and view image to see the full-size version)

They are huge.

But they also are longer, so unlike the old CCM Goalie Cut half shirts, these are baggy but will tuck into your gloves and fall below your waist.

Unless this is something new, which I am not aware of, they must be adding material to the jerseys. RBK does not make 3x and 4x jerseys.
Maybe ask other sellers, that sponser the BB, on here that do sell RBKs, like Mike from GM about it.
Also just some info, the sleeve width on the new RBKs,regular sizes, are an inch smaller than say a CCM.
Yes the goalie sleeves are huge.

Gee, just talked to RBK, they do not make bigger than 2x and pro biggest is 60, not goalie.
I am in the business and would have known.
So obviously they aren't official RBKs
Feel free to call them

From what you've seen would you recommend an XXL RBK Edge (with tailored sleeves) over a goalie cut jersey? I hate the bulkiness of those goalie cut jerseys, and I love the streamline look of the edge uniforms.
