Question New Goalie Eqipment

I need to get a new par of pads.
Is there any plase were they have
compared "all" the manufactors.
I am new too this game (1 year)
and 45 year old. Or maybe one of you can advice me
to get the rigth pad.
I have used Bauer supreem did not like them
because ther were not rotating well when i was down on the ice.
To day i use Ultra 2 36+1` 12`wide They rotat well butt do not slide on the ice as god as i want.
I do belive that i want 35+3` 11`wide.
that is flexible (like the supreems and rotat lik the Ultra 2) and
slide wery easy on the ice when down in butterfly.

Best regards from Norway

Vaughn V2/V3's sound good for your style as well, but Smith has great stuf, and it's good to support a small manufacturer. With Smith you can talk to someone about what exactly you want in your pair of pads. I'm sure they'll help you out with sizing and thngs like that as well.

P.S. Guys take it easy on this guy, at least he told us what kind of pad he was looking for and that he's not too great with english and what he wanted in his set of pads.

One thing I suggest Lars, is to always search before you post. You can search somethig like: "flexible pads" or "rotation" and read about the pros and cons of each pad. There's also a reviews section that is very helpful for this kind of thing.
Well have fun on the board, and best of luck with your new set,

Chris.

Smith pads are excellent, but I am not sure if they would be considered very flexible.

It's pretty tough for you since you don't get a chance to try them out.

And by the way, I think it's pretty impressive that you were able to post in English that was easy to understand.

If you can, try the search as was suggested, but if it is too difficult to understand, ask away and we will be happy to answer your questions.

I would guess that nobody here could post on a Norwegian goalie board!

Good luck with your game.

I recently went from some Vaughn copies to Smith 2000's.... not really a difference in stiffness or torsional resistance. If anything the Smith pads are MORE flexible.

Go for the Smiths.

Oboy, you do know that even though we speak Swedish in Sweden, we do learn english in school, and it's one of the three most important subjects to.

These days most people speak english you know, no matter where you're from.

From my experience:

Brian' thief - Rotates very well, extremely flexible
Brian's DX2 Pro - Rotates very well, Flexible almost very
******* 993 -Rotates very well, Very flexible. This pad is a flexible RBK PP2.
Smith - I have no experience in using. They have got to rotate well though. I thought Pete was the one who came up with the Velocity pad. Smith can make the pad to your flexibility wishes.

the Hockey shop
The Hockey Shop | Experts in Ice Hockey and Goalie Equipment - Great service, wide variety, prices can be high at times

Hockey Services
Hockey Services OnLine Pro Shop - Hockey Equipment - Excellent customer service, very knowledgable, wide variety, all goalies in their department

and Wesco Sports

Ive found that Scandinavians speak the most understandable english, for a country that speaks a different langauge.

Germans, French, Spanish, Russian, speak funny choppy english, unlike the Scandinavians. Been to Germany and it wasnt nearly as understandable as the Scandahovians ()

But that's all thanks to the TV. In sweden all we watch is TV shows from the US, so do the people in lets say France, it's just that they have french voices och their shows
