Very nice mask Jim! I really like the metallic blue, very sharp!
I would love to have a vapor, it's a beautiful mask that's impeccably designed and crafted. But I can't agree with PC owners on the pricing comment. Even if you get a deal, it's still the most expensive mask on the market (as it probably should be).

psycho,
your local.. shoot me a pm.. we can get together.. i can show you the mask.
Its a one of one.. so that is why cost really cant be discussed.. Price will depend on how you want your mask made and what type of paint job.
I can honestly say... the mask is not stupid expensive.
Please call Dom, great guy to talk to.. tell him what you want, and He will hook you up... tell him Jim says Hello
cheers
Jim

I've been saving up for a mask since last summer and trying to make a decision on what I want, so I actually did call Dom after reading all these PC threads and seeing pictures of the masks!
Jim - It would be really cool to check out your PC. You still playing this summer?

Did you tell Dom that?
I did and he worked with me (payments) so that I could have a NHL level mask.
And i can tell you IMHO its worth every single penny...
Cheers

This is ballpark range for many full custom molded masks. I agree, it's still a lot of money, but I was able to split it over two payments.

You are correct sir... the only thing NOT GUARANTEED is the paint job, the last time I checked as well.

The Vapor isn't the only mask Dom makes. Perhaps a "regular" Pro's Choice, like the one I bought, would be more in your price range? When I priced mine in the fall of '06, it was substantially less money than the Vapor. The difference is that the Vapor will probably be about a pound lighter than the regular model, with equal protection. Manny Fernandez was wearing a "regular" Pro's Choice in the NHL until this season, when he finally got a Vapor. The Vapor incorporates some ultra-high-tech materials, making it lighter and, of course, more expensive.
Here is the link to the post of my mask. If you have any questions, PM me.

If you think about it $1200 to protect the most valuable part of your body isn't really that much.
While I do not have a Pros Choice I have another fully custom mask from one of the "choice few." I feel at this fully custom pricepoint where the shell is made specifically for your head the difference between makers becomes one of personal preference and what you get is truly remarkable.
I also own a very very very high quality "semi-custom" mask in which it is custom padded to my mold and I have to say that while I absolutely love that mask and you will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands it is not even close in fit to my full custom.
There is a remarkable difference.
With most things you get what you pay for, give or take some thievery.
If a maker offers payments that makes things very affordable.
One thing I would stress to anyone looking into a fully custom mask is that you get complete and full clarification of what is involved in their warranty policy as not all makers have the same policy and you will want to know exactly what is covered and what is not and for how long.
A written clarification of this is virtually essential. Anyone who won't give me their policy in writing is someone I won't give my money to.
Been there and done that and needless to say I was left disappointed.

Cheers
