Jim,
If that is the comfort level you feel than I applaud you.
I, on the other hand, am one of those people whose life is fully dictated by Murphys Law.
Even if I own something that was made for Nasa to protect me on reentry into our atmosphere I want written confirmation of my warranty coverage.

Humans are fallible and what makes a handmade object so special is also what makes it so susceptible to variable performance. Therefore I always insist on knowing where I stand.

I believe 1,200 is for any solid color Vapor with cert cage. Dom isn't a mask maker who just started out. He's been in business for over 20 years. He stands behind his product 100%. He even fix a chip in my paint at NO charge! I can't ask for anything more than that.

Dr,
I hear where your coming from..
But i have done enough research and believe if its good enough for his huge list of pro players.. its good enough for me..
And once i spoke to Dom on the phone i was hooked .. he is a great guy to talk mask with..

Also, he has this quote on his site from nike bauer.

""The Ferrari of the goal mask business. Attention to detail, Craftsmanship and uncompromised quality. If you want the best in fit, protection and performance, why compromise, Pro's Choice the ultimate choice in Custom goal masks." Todd Brown Bauer/Nike Hockey "

They were impressed with his qualty enough to put their name on it.

Also Kolzig once made a comment about it being able to stand up to his throwing it at the wall now and again..

So again, I understand where you coming from Dr, but in the case of Dom and his Vapor mask.. I was just honored he would even make one for me.....
I consider him the one of the mask builders to the stars. One of the greats..

Again.. just honored he would help me.. get my dream masks...

Cheers
Jim

Update

Guys,
just a quick update/review.
I have used the mask now a few months.. and I would have tear in my beer
if i had an expensive paint job..
My mask now has a few puckmarks on it and one nice tape mark from a slash.
No pain from the shots, no ear ringing. nothing.

the only mods i had made are.
Gone back to the chincup over the sling
and added a chin pad over the cup.

This one is from nike my prior chincup pad was UA.
I highly recommend the chincup pads as it makes the cup alot more comfortable.

The mask feels perfect and plays great you get into the game forget its even on.

Cheers
Jim
