Yes he was but it appears he has switched brands permantley as he is removed from the sherwood goalie section and dany sabourin has taken over as their spokesman .

Love those RBK's that Garon has.
Too bad he will be back-up.

Nope, its Denis and Ramo. That's the mask Ramo wore in Springfield late last season, plus he wore vaughn's too.

Holmqvist wasn't happy with their services during the season so he has switched brand till this season. He was trying Vaughn out earlier in the summer but wasn't totally happy with them. He told me he would try RBK as well, so I'm eagerly awaiting new pics of him, as I haven't spoken to him in a while.

Personally I'd take Cujo and Belfour over the above listed goalies right now, unless someone had a good arguement otherwise.
Possibly even over Kari Lehtonen for the playoffs but I hardly saw the Thrashers play in the playoffs so I don't know if he choked or had no support?
Potvin not so much unless he did some crazy work to get back into shape and got working with a top flight goalie coach.

Because these average 40 year olds were superstars at some point and can still put up just as good of numbers as the 20 year olds?
Experience does count to a certent extent in most jobs and there also the chance/hope of the 40 y.o. rekindling the magic when it's needed too.
Oh yeah. I'd also take Cujo and Belfour over the goaltending mess in Phoenix this year too.

True enough.
If they were accepting of the role though they might be good back ups and mentors for a young guy on a contender as well as a veteran presence in the room of young team that's become/becoming a contender. Although not goalie related something similar to having Gary Roberts (one of my favorites) and Mark Rechhi in Pittsburgh.
Guys like Kari Lehtonen, Henrik Lundqvist, Carey Price if he makes it, that sort of thing.
I'd say Ray Emery and Cam Ward too but they seemed to do pretty well in their first few playoffs.
They could be a stop gap for average to bad teams so they could either keep their young tenders in lower leagues for proper development or split time with the old guy rather than being totally thrown to the wolves.
There's uses for them dependent on salary and pride.

A guy who used size 56 last year, may ask for a 60 and get a bit more of loose than the others but not that much.

Actually, 58G is the maximum size in a game jersey. A few years back they also ruled that non-goalies could not wear goal-cut jerseys, as the fighters in the 90's were wearing them to avoid getting their arms stuck when someone grabbed their sleeve in a fight. I remember seeing a list of game-worn jerseys for sale from the Springfield Falcons a few years ago, and half the jerseys on the list were goal-cuts.
The guys wearing 56's can go to 58's, but the guys who were already in 58's will be out of luck. Virtually all goalies were already in 58G, so whatever a 58G is now, they are all stuck with it.

Don't want to start an argument, but some guys were wearing 60G last year and the year before (I'm not counting before the lock-out since lots of rules changed). Ridiculous goal cut are illegal for a long time, I know that, but the limit is 60G and 60. You also can order the Edge jerseys (the authentic ones) in size 60 so that mean they make them, if they make them it's because some pros wear them.

Dimiti Patzold:

He has also sported a set of V3s with a teal outer section, black stripe, and white inner section (or something like that).
