I have been saying this for a few years now. If players keep upgrading their arsenal, then we should be able to as well. They are gaining an advantage by being able to shoot harder. To keep the integrity of the game, just bring back all wood sticks and eliminate composites altogether.

Here we go again....

If we are going to have another thighrise argument can you guys just make an official thighrise thread. There is nothing wrong with having the argument but it has already derailed this and countless other threads a bunch of times. I have been guilty of it too but at this point lets just start a seperate thread and keep this about gear sightings.

I saw a close up of Carey's pads in a GW magazine and his pads are all weave. Interesting, I thought all NHL'ers used jenpro.

Carey's thigh rise ain't that big really cuz all he wears is 36+2 in the goalies world magazine they explain that his pads create the illusion that they are really big because they're all white, im 6'3, the same weight as price and built as well and i wear 36+3 and honestly they dont feel overly massive that it will restrict movement they are perfect nice mobility and rotation then again price has a toe bridge were as mine the lace is attached onto the pad and i have about an inch slack going on it so it kinda sits a little lower

I would say after being at the game yesterday that Halak's pads look to have a taller thighrise proportionately than Price's do. While standing, the bottom few inches of his jersey and tucked under his pads. I don't think Legace's pads even look that bad.

I think a lot more use weave than we think. It's just hard to notice it from the distance we usually see them from.
