Halak has the nicest gear IMO. Are his pads completely made from weave? It looks like the white is but I cant tell if the red and blue are as well.

Why is Ward wearing red, white and blue? They don't match Canada, and they don't match Hurricanes.

He's said before that new skates hurt his feet and feel rather uncomfortable. It's crazy, though, a whole role of tape per skate.

Are Prices thigh rise squared, whereas Biron's are tapered?

I think it is just because Biron's pads are older and broken down more. if you look back to the picture where Price's new pad and old pad are side by side, the old one looks tapered while the new ones are squared up.

Don't like his lid....he went from hideously horrible helmet to....simply horrible helmet. The national logo shield backplate doesn't match the rest.

In the book "In the Crease" by Dick Irvin he was telling of a goalie (I forget who) who wore 12 pairs of socks because he wouldn't get new skates.

Yeah lid isn't the greatest but I was talking more about gloves/pads.

Am I the first one to notice that Halak's Itech 961 has a wide face opening than all other 961 I've seen?

Also, look how far his head is from the shell and the cage. The padding must be super thick.

Look at Halak's 961 and then Biron's 961 (which is like all other 961 I've seen)

On Halak's mask, you can see the face opening is almost as big as the cage, while Biron's cage is over lapping a lot on the mask, just like regular 961.
