He was quite horrible this year wasn't he?
To finish with the 4th best Sv% in the league is a complete joke!
Ah ignorance.... isn't it grand?

Thomas has those stats and he's not playing for the Red Wings!!! He's playing for the Bruins. How many 40+ shots game he had this year?
Just because he's not butterfly, people overlooks him. I would like to see Thomas in a top tier team, Detroit, Ottawa maybe? I know Thomas still has a year to his contract but soon (maybe the 2009-10 season), the Bruins' net should be Rask's net. Gerber's contract will be over and Emery must go this summer. So when Thomas becomes a free agent, I bet a couple of teams will go after him.
He'll become free agent the very same year Miller becomes a free agent... It will be interesting for goalies.
Speaking of free agents.... Where will Theodore ends up? He (re)made a name for himself this season. Where will Halak go this summer, which veteran goalie the Canadiens will hire to back up Price? Will Hasek retires? Do you think Roloson will still play next year? Where? Garon won the net in Edmonton. Who will try to sign Cloutier? I would as a back-up, if he wants to. I think Hedberg is a free agent too. I think Gainey should look at him too.

I could see Thomas in Detroit, but not Ottawa. Detroit would be a good fit for him and his balls to the wall playing style.
While I think Theodore had a good year, I think that series he just had against Detroit will hurt his value a bit. Nothing major, but had he been better in it he could have seen more offers. I definitely think Hasek will retire this year. I think Roloson will move. Cloutier will go overseas.

Cloutier in the Russian super league? Probable, not a bad thing financially for him. I would take Roloson in Montreal, if he's willing to be a true back-up goalie. We need a veteran that could be a 2nd goalie coach for Price. He's 20, under the biggest pressure for a goalie in the NHL. He doesn't need a guy that pushes him in the back for more icetime, he needs support. A teammate that can be a confident and sometimes a cheerleader (LOL).
Rumors say that Detroit are waiting for Miller to become free agent in 2009. They can rely on Osgood since then.
I see Theodore in 2 places, Colorado or Tampa Bay if Tortorella leaves. I can't see a smart goalie signing for a team where Totorella is.

Open your eyes, not to communism but to the size 12 font right in front of your beady little eyes
"I'm not talking about history, I'm talking about the ideologies of communism."
To quote Danish exactly.
I don't support the way communism has been attempted (although there were many benefits) but I support the ideas. As for wearing CCCP on the jerseys- if I havn't heard anything about it on Russian TV it's not a big deal.

Especially for pros not playing in the NHL, that's even more surprising. But I don't think it's a pad who's that hard to build. Maybe they send it to a another shop to build them and just slap a Nike/Bauer logo on them? Maybe they make them inhouse too.
Also, did you noticed his old-school blocker? Is it a reactor or a Legend? Also, it's funny how he still uses old-school pads, but wears them like new pads. You can see his left knee touching the ice, I hope he wears good kneepads.

Chakal, that looks like an R5 blocker too. A blocker is one thing but to have all the dies ready for a pad from 1998? His kneepads look huge though. R5s were such heavy pads my 32s weigh more than my 34+2 p2s!

Yes but when you have only one or 2 sets to make in a year, I think it's faster to just cut everything by hand. I don't think NBH paid over 15,000$ for new NHL spec dies for a 10 years old model just for one goalie.
No knee wings and obviously, no knee lifts! LOL
The pads look thinner than how they used to be and I bet they use new foam for them too.
