now if you could choose any goalie for your dream team how many of you would go outside this list of "all stars"

The World Championships don't have anybody's "dream team" - you get the guys who are willing to show up, from teams that missed the playoffs or got eliminated in round 1. Not a lot of NHL talent to choose from.
So out of all American born goalies, who was a better choice than Thomas?
None I can think of, and that includes Miller, who was beat down this year by having to put up Brodeur like numbers in terms of games played.
Thomas had a higher save % (.921 to .906) and a lower goals against (2.44 to 2.64) while facing more shots per game on average (28 to 25).
Over the last three seasons, Thomas has had save percentages of .917, .905, and .921 to Miller's .914, .911, and .906.
As for DiPietro? .900, .919, and .902.
So again, who better than Thomas to be the US goalie???
