I have some from one I rebuilt. I scored a thrashed all black T5500 for less than $20 on the bay and repaired it.
The glove is scuffed, but it is now being used again.

I'd imagine the Epic has a considerably shorter T than a 5500 now that it's pro spec. Your idea could have been the case prior to the gloves being pro spec.

I had the pro-spec 5500 (the one with V3 graphics) in mind. Compared to the new Epic, the 5500's T is a bit shorter.

The 8800 does look pretty sweet, i may order one of those from the local hockey shop.

Refurbishing an old T5500 catcher, like Matt the Hammer, sounds like something that might be fun to do, even if i do get the 8800.
Doogie24, if you decide that you'd rather sell your 5500 and buy a new one rather than have it refurbished then let me know!
