i dont think i would need pro palm. but if you are coming from rbk p2, which already has a pro palm i think..maybe you should've gotten it.

Do you know if the RBK P1 has a pro palm in it? Cuz I get the worst stingers in it.

Ask in the RBK thread. This is about the 5500.

If it's perfect, then why did you order the 5500?

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say he meant the pro palm was perfect, not the glove.

Comparing the 5500 to the 7500. The blocking pad on the older gloves is HUGE!

The 5500 is hands down the best catching glove ever, though.

I got my first stinger in my new T5500 a couple of days ago. One of those Junior kids that come out to the pickup and totally dominate. Got the tips of my fingers...nothing to the palm yet. I must stress however that it was VERY MILD as far as stingers go. The more I play in it, the more I feel like it was the best $400.00 I have ever spent (except the time I was in Reno, NV...but that is neither here nor there)

I am absolutely in love with this catcher. I played a couple shifts with my buddy's six-month-old Brians's DX2 last week. Build on the DX2 is great, but I was SO glad to get back into my T5500. On my hand, it feels like buttuh.

Mine does. Feels like there is about an inch and half of padding/wood in the palm.

I catch like Dan Blackburn in that thing.

So i E-mailed Vaughn from the E-mail address on their website and the guy told me that it was a V3 catcher, which I think is defenitley wrong.

Let me know what you guys think.

I believe that is the Suomi glove? Or something like that? There is a thread about it, somewhere, hold on...

Found it!

Kari Ramo catcher, same as Kiprusoff spec?

I'd like to know a little more about it as well though, anybody?

I have a old blk/wht 5500 as well that i want to get rid of.($50 lol) I do like that they are so easy to break in but i love my V2. i am hoping that if i order a new 5500 it will have a bigger blocking surface.
