What kind of mask is this? | Koy Roy Goalie Mask Avalanche

I have this mask and want to put it up on ebay, I'm just not sure what model it was, I believe it came out the same time as the Garon/Luongo masks came out. Anyway it's painted like Roys mask in Colorado but without the 33's on it. Any Ideas?

Also how do I check the size? And how much should I ask?

Thanks,
Dan

It's a Koho 570, good mask. Two things. First, is the mask new or used?
Second, your head measurement will give you the size.

Almost forgot, does it have a cateye cage or certified?
You can probably expect anywhere from $125-$250 depending on the condition of the mask and the type of cage).

Good Luck!

I remember that I was once in a Sports Memorabilia shop in a New York Mall

They had a mask - very similar to that one - that was listed as a "Game Worn" Autographed Patrick Roy Mask. They were selling it for $1299.

I was looking at it, and the salesguy told me it was a RARE collectable and that I should buy it - he said it was the mask that Patrick Won wearing the CUP. They also had a "Authenticity" Certificate that said it was Game Worn, etc......

Wrong Person to try to con about Roy. Huge Fan.

I point out that the Cage is wrong - and point to some of the signed pictures of Roy they have nearby showing athe Cat Eye, not certified cage. He says - they changed the cage. I show him that all Roys masks, other then his ALL white early in Montreal have a "33" on the Chin. Then I point out that while this mask has a similar paint job - there is no 33 on the chin. He has some comment. I then point out that Roys has no chip cup in the internals to the mask - and that his mask has a chin sling.

The guy starts yelling at me and tells me to leave the shop. I told him that I should report him for fraud. At which point, my girlfriend (now Ex), says that I should not make a scene - and who cares. I told her that they are conning people of out $1299, and they should go to jail - hell - the autograph was probably faked as well (although it looked real).

Well, thats my story - just felt a need to share.

Nice job I hate that too but it was probably the real thing signature wise that is .
It was the paint job of his last mask correct ?
I saw one in a mall in Chicago and laughed.
Koho made them in 2002-03 I believe and it also should have had number like 199 out of 1000. I saw them unsigned at the time for $450 and up to $900 signed with HECC cages only. If the guy switched the cage to make it look real thats sad.
Take care and nice job !

Careful with signature items on ebay... there are a lot of fakes out there. A couple years ago some clown was trying to sell an "autographed Patrick Roy mask", starting at $200.

It was a Franklin mask. He claimed it was a charity item and was rare because Patrick doesn't autograph things very often. Then he said he had dozens of other autographed items from Patrick because he and Patrick's family ran around together.
Then he said this wasn't a "game used" mask, but was for practice.

What a retart.
