Pad Size

Trying to decide exactly the right size for my soon to be ordered pads i'm borderline 6 feet and for the last season i've used 35+1's. I like having oversized gear though and i am a butterfly goalie... I was thinking 35+2 because I don't want them to big or maybe a 36+1. Any suggestions? How tall are you and how big are your pads?

This is a good opportunity for you to get acquainted with our "search" function.

This topic has been discussed un countable times in the past, and as a suggestion I would search for the word "database". you will find a thread by the title of "ATK database project" This thread will help you learn what size pads will be right for you, and how to measure your ATK (ankle to Knee). Glad to have you on the board, and for future reference, if you use the search function it will help keep our board less cluttered with the same questions over and over.

im 6'1-6'2 and just bought 35+1s and i have pretty long legs..i was thinkin 35+2s but didnt have the time to custom order. mine come up pretty high on my legs, anything past your "junk" i think would be too tall, its mostly preference though

TRY THE PADS ON FIRST!!!!!

Can't warn you enough about that. Models are all different...especially the boot sections on RBK vs. Vaughn for instance. RBKs tend to sit much higher.

As an example, I picked up for my middle son, a beautiful set of gently used 32+1" 7070 velos. He is currently in 29+1" RBK PS2s.

Guess what.....they are the EXACT same length in skates!!! Didn't gain a single mm in length. Bad investment but, at the price we paid I can get they money back selling them.
