Here is a better look at Raycroft's elusive mystery mask. It kinda looks like Collin Farrel or Mel Gibson in one of their older movies lol, but really still no clue who that is.

You can kinda make out that this horse rider is holding a flag with the Avs logo.

Too bad the logo is directly behind the cage bar....

refund?

These guys are like stock cars on ice for frig sakes lol.

I actually see what Coulis (sp?) is doing as a really smart idea. He's advertising his new movie to a massive audience for what? the cost of a couple masks and 2 paint jobs which is what like $3000 or so. And he doesnt have to pay the NHL dick all because its just a mask paint job, there's no logo or website address etc. As a result, its being discussed on HNIC and elsewhere on air not to mention online and in the newspapers etc. Not to shabby for $3K

Smart smart and more smart.
Is he rocking a belour eagle mask?

That has to be Adam Hauser in last's years SPengler Cup.

Those are NOT the standard Adler jerseys. While in Germany (and Europe for that matter) there is too much advertising going on on the jerseys, the Spengler Cup is a special occasion.

It's a tournament held every year, where the teams competing there get their own "Spengler Cup" jerseys into which companies can buy into to get advertised there. Last year, the german company "Würth" (making tools and screws) was the advertiser of the Adler Mannheim, that's where there are so many logos all over the guys.

The current Adler Jerseys are much nicer (and even a tribute to the Rangers, with our own town idol, the "Wasserturm" (water tower), and the goalies masks normally have no advertising what so ever, the advertising in the pic above where just stickers for the Spengler Cup:

for a history of the adler jerseys, go here:

ADLER Mannheim

As you can see, there IS too many advertising (I envy america for this, as hockey there still looks "traditional"), it's not as drastic as in the pic above.

If I had to guess, it looks like Val Kilmer playing Madmartigan in "Willow." But who knows.

I don't even think the advertising does anything. Most of the time just on the players you don't even know what it says. Pointless is what i think.

When I bought my first real helmet, I had drawn up this elaborate design centered around General Kael from Willow. Then I found out how much getting a helmet painted costs, and quickly gave up on that idea.
