Chipped Eddy GT

I somehow managed to get a couple of tiny chips on my max right above the cage on the forehead. I don't recall seeing the chips there after I took any pucks off the mask, so I am thinking I might have just banged the mask around.

Question: given the couple of chips on the mask, should I be replacing it entirely? ie, should I be worried about structural integrity? The mask is only a year old, and I really don't want to spend $300 to get another one. Opinions?

Sorry for the vague description of the damage, I don't have pics. All I can say is it appears to be superficial chips, but the fiberglass is exposed where the chip is (probably a couple of mm wide).

thanks

Talk to Eddy

Call someone at Eddy or talk to your retailer in regards to having the mask inspected or refurbished.

Its hard to tell if or how much structural damage there may be, it may be only gelcoat and have little or no effect on the amount of protection the mask offers.

Having said that you only get one head and its worth more than 300.

( I cant talk i have been playing in the same eddy with a few real cracks and chips for a few years, This year i will pick up something new and beter a sport mask T3 or a hackava)

* there are some members here who really really know masks maybee if you could post some good clos eup photos they might be able to tell you*

Thanks Damion... I'll take some pics tonight and get an opinion of the forum people while I wait for Eddy and the local shop here to open tomorrow.

Along those lines, does anybody know HOW to contact Eddy? Looks like their website doesn't have anything on it.
