Under Armour HeatGear Hockey Compression Leggings?

I've been using the UA HeatGear shorts for a season now and love them. I've been pairing them with hockey socks, but wanted to switch to just using UA HeatGear pants after hearing good reviews on this board.

The Hockey Compression Leggings mention "Armour™ Grip technology keeps your shin guards in place, and Velcro tabs secure your socks." I'm sure that that technology is great for non-goalies, but i'm a little wary of the grip holding onto my leg pads. Everyone who uses UA pants says that the pants letting their pads slide is one of the advantages to using them. There's also the UA Heatgear Leggings to consider, I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with the actual Hockey Compression Leggings.

I use running tights uner mt pads instead of hockey socks, i wear them over my jock and knee pads(ol skool knee pads) to keep everything on snug. They work great-keep you cool and they dont absorb sweat! I get mine from Eastbay. theyre like 24.99 each and come in alot of colors, as good as UA.

i would think those tights are even more 'slippery' (or is that bike shorts i'm thinking of?) than UA (neither of which i've used before)...?

heat gear leggings also come without the nipples. We don't carry the grip variety. I this the woult likely pull up as your leg slides in the pad. It is not likely that they would stop your pads from moving. The weight of the pads combined with the strength in your legs will exceed the (grippiness) of the Armour grip. If you can handle the pant sliding up your ankle a bit go for it. The grip variety are probably slightly more expensive than the plain variety heatgear pant. The actual pant material itself is the same

LOL! Bigdaddy, some of it's about age and experiences. (I actually played Dr. Scott many years ago, Hroark. I think I've seen it about 117 times or so, though not for a while)

I'm all for just US leggings, they are more temperate and help with rotation, especially in closed leg channels.

I've used UA leggings and they work really well - if your budget allows for it, give these a try. They're made for skiers and runners, but they've worked really well for me too. They have a sort of "exoskeleton" that provides additional support for your quadriceps and lower back. They've definitely been helpful late in games.

Stirrup Pants

That's the advantage I've got of hanging on to my old stirrup pants from high school. Granted they're 20 years old and have got quite a few holes and rips in them...they still work awesome. They have the little strap that goes under your foot, and come in lovely floral prints...also plaid...
If you look close you can see my lucky flower ones here...hah

works great

ive been wearing under armour full pants for a long time and i love them. besides helping to keep you cool they let your pads rotate with almost no friction . they have even gotten a little cheaper lately but they are still alittle pricey.
