padded undershirt - can anyone identify

Was at a Junior A tournament over the weekend and players from the previous game were sitting in the stands waiting for their next game.

The goalie was wearing a black wicking undershirt with additional padding sewn over the shoulders and rib area. It wasn't an RBK shirt or McDavid or Zoombang as I know what they look like. This additional padding was about 4 inches wide and and one inch thick. The padding was comprised of a grid of small squares (1/2" by 1/2") with a small indentation in the center. It was all covered in the same wicking nylon as the shirt. A forward on the same team had an entire shirt (white) covered in the same padding with plastic shoulder caps like a traditional forward shoulder pad would have.

I want to say the manufacturer was Merrill, but a google search hasn't retrieved any matches. Can anyone help ?

Saw that shirt already. This padding is thicker and not molded into the shirt like the McDavid.

Nope, not Rhinoskin. Think of a 4 inch wide strip of puffy white starburst chews sewn into some wicking nylon and then sewn over the shoulder and rib area.

There are so many of these now.

Mission make some pretty nice ones. I was tempted to pick one up when I saw them:

Mission Thorax Padded Hockey Shirt - Junior - JTHXST

Mission Advantage Padded Shirt - Junior

Mission "DSX" Senior Padded Shirt-2008

There's this one for Dirtboarding too:

I've got a padded shirt I got for roller hockey, now I use it when I play out. I don't wear shoulder pads, they drive me crazy.

$59.99 at the local roller rink. Now THE HOCKEY SHOP has them, so I'm sure you can order online and get them shipped if you can't find them locally.

Yep. That's the company, Farrell. The forward was wearing the shoulder pads pictured here without some of the plastic plates.

The goalie was wearing a different shirt - the same padding, but it was attached differently from the one on the goaliemonkey website or for that matter, any on Farrell's website. Maybe it's a new offering not on their website yet.

This all comes about because I'm looking for a shirt with good rib protection. Took a slapper to ribs (got spun kinda sideways on a butterfly side). Thankfully nothing broken, but a monster bruise.
