How to repair pants?

I broke off 2 of the metal buttons that hold the front of my suspenders to my pants. Is there a way to replace the buttons?

ive always just taken a section of nylon strap( bought a HUGE roll) and sew a loop of it to the pants, but before i sew the second end on I run the nylon through the suspender(removing the hardware that attaches the suspenders to the button) and then attaching them to the pant, making them permanent.

I ended up just sewing the suspenders right to the pants. No more problems.

If your pants have a removable belt, just thread the belt through the suspender holes at the appropriate places. If the belt loops are in the right spot, put the two suspender buttonholes on either side of the belt loop so the suspenders don't slide along the belt too far.

Code:
     | |
     | |     <-- Suspenders
    // \\
   //   \\
===O==|==O==== <-- Belt, suspender buttonholes, and a belt loop in the middle
Not as elegant as Keeps' solution, since his way guarantees the suspenders will stay anchored to wherever you sew them in. That said, I've never had the suspenders move along the belt enough to be a problem.

go to a fabric, craft or maybe even target and get bachelor buttons. all you have to basically do is pound them on with a hammer.
