Packing your equipment

Is it better to store your glove seperate or with the rest? Store it opened or closed?

I used to store it, in it's own pouch on one end of the my goalie bad, and the blocker in the other end. But now I am think I will store my glove closed on an angle, and my block above it. All in one end of my bag.

And how about the prices of tea in China!

Why would you pack it seperately? Not arguing with you or anything, just genuinely curious

Personally I pack mine away closed, wedged in between the end of my bag and the end of my leg pads. That helped break it in initially, and means it doesn't take up much room in the bag. I always air all my gear out once I get it home so there's no danger of the glove holding moisture or whatever.

Packing my bag

I only packed it because I had the extra space. In this new bag I'm using, I have even more space now. But I'm just wondering if I leave my glove opened, and the entire bag, was say wedged against a wall or something like that, would it bend in the pocket of my glove? I don't know, just thinking worst case scenario.

I should right a review about my new bag!

Itech Re-Flex RX9 Pro Wheeled Goalie Equipment Bag

Here is the new mofo, got it for $120 bucks at the Pro Hockey Life here in Toronto, Ontario. I'll take some pictures and write up a quick review this evening.

I got a shut out last night, 5 - 0, so I think the bag is lucky.

So goalie bags help stop pucks, and all this time I thought it was pad graphics. JK.

On a serious note, I have been looking for a new bag my old Itech is starting to fall apart. What size pads do you wear? Just curious as you said you had lots of room in the bag. I'll look for your review.

I really liked the look of that bag until I saw the wheels. I'm constantly dragging my bag through the city to trains and buses etc, the wheels get a hell of a lot of use. The Itech wheels look really flimsy, especially in comparison to my current Rbk tractor wheels!

bag

Yeah, the RBK bag was sold out, I had the choice between this Itech and and Sherwood.

I am nervous about the wheels also on the Itech. But they feel very solid and sturidy. The bolts, or what ever they are called, seem to be over sized and meant to take a beating. I don't think the wheels will come off, but time will tell. I love the millions of compartments. I stick underwear anywhere in the bag! I love it! Woot!
