This is going to sound like an odd question, but I've never really paid attention to the plus sizing. I'm not 100% what it means, but I think that plus 1 and plus 2 just means the number of inches above the knee right?
What's the difference between 36 + 2 and 38"? I've just used poverty pads like my Itech 4.8's and my current 6K's...
I believe 36 is where the knee is, +2 is two extra inches added to the thigh, meaning if you wear a 36 pad, and want more five hole coverage ( I guess) you order a +1/2.
The 36 part in the pad, would be the leg channel, and where your knee sits in the middle of the pad. The + sizing on the pad is just the thighrise, which basically helps you get a cleaner butterfly, without having your leg channel oversized.
So the basic difference between a 36+2 and a 38 is the leg channel, and the thighrise. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I have the right idea.
Been covered a million times. Do a search for "thigh rise" if you want more info.
the + sizing is just inches added above the standard thigh rise. These days it's just a marketing tool. When they make +1 standard, it's no longer meaningful...all they did was increase their standard thigh rise length.
